IBM-Canada IBM Global Services 800-426-7378 Placing a Service Call:
* Call 1-800-IBM-SERV (1-800-426-7378)
* Select option 1 to place a hardware call.
* Select option 1 to open a new service call.
* You will be prompted to enter the 4-digit machine type. For Cisco products enter 1342.
* The IBM Call Center agent will then ask you for:
* The telephone number where the machine is located. (See list on page 3) If there is no phone number at the location you are calling about, just provide one.
* The model / serial number of the machine you are placing the call on.
* To confirm the address where the machine is located (including floor number).
* A short description of your problem or question.
* The IBM Call Center agent will then provide you with call number, e.g.: 41-X45GG.
* Your call will be forwarded to the Support Center for handling. (Based on the coverage hours in your MA...)

Requesting update to, or status of, an existing Service Call:
* Call 1-800-IBM-SERV (1-800-426-7378)
* Select option 1 to place a hardware call.
* Select option 2 to update an existing service call.
* You will be prompted to enter the 4-digit machine type. For Cisco products enter 1342
* The IBM Call Center agent will then ask you for your call number.
* Your call will be forwarded to the Support Center for handling if required.
