Red Maple, Swamp Maple, Soft Maple - Acer rubrum

Acer rubrum - Red Maple, Swamp Maple, Soft Maple. There are 129 species in the Acer genus, but less than 20 are native to North America. Red Maple is found in 33 states across the eastern half of the United States. This tree can get to be 60 feet tall, and has beautiful red flowers in late winter or early spring, and beautiful yellow, red, or red & yellow leaves in the fall.
